Sony’s next wireless earbuds could be a new version of LinkBuds

It looks like Sony’s upcoming flagship over-ear headphones aren’t the only ones to have been leaked ahead of a public announcement, as official-looking images of a new set of wireless noise-canceling headphones from Sony have hit the web thanks to SnoopyTech filter (via android police). According to SnoopyTech, the earbuds will be called the LinkBuds S, which suggests they might share some similarities with Sony’s LinkBuds released in February.

Original LinkBuds have a distinctive “open-style” design with an unconventional donut-shaped hole that’s designed to help you better hear your surroundings while wearing headphones. The LinkBuds S, on the other hand, have a more traditional closed design like that. of the Sony WF-1000XM4.

However, looking at the images shared by SnoopyTech, it appears that the LinkBuds S will have a large vent on the outside of each button, which could be used to help with some sort of transparency mode so you can hear what’s going on around you. SnoopyTech also says that the LinkBuds S will be able to “seamlessly switch from ambient sound to advanced noise cancellation and enable autoplay that learns from your behavior.”

According to the images, the new headphones will come in golden beige, black, and how Walkman’s blog reports, white. Walkman’s blog he also points out that the LinkBuds S have a proximity sensor that looks identical to the one on the WF-1000XM4.

A Sony public relations representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
